Speaking before the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday, U.S. President Donald Trump vowed that he will request all NATO countries to increase its annual defence spending from two per cent, to five per cent of its GDP. “Most nations didn't pay until I came along,” he said. Just shy of the initial two per cent goal, Canada announced its commitment to meet NATO's military spending target of by 2032.
